Church History Library

Admission: Free. The Church History Library is open to the general public. Photo identification is required to enter the facility. An application form, to be filled out upon entering the facility, is required for those doing research.

Hours:
Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri: 9am-5pm
Thursday: 9am-9pm
Saturday: 9am-2pm
Closed: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, July 4th and 24th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (both Thursday and Friday), and Christmas Day.

Parking: The Church History Library is located north of the Church Office Building and East of the Conference Center. Nearby public parking lots are available within one-half block of the facility. Patrons can use all the public parking facilities for a fee.

The collections of the the Church History Library and Archives contain materials chronicling the history of the Church from its beginning in 1830 to the present day. The collections contain manuscripts, books, Church records, photographs, oral histories, architectural drawings, pamphlets, newspapers, periodicals, maps, microforms, and audiovisual materials. The staff creates and maintains catalogs and indexes for accessing this wide variety of information.
